Very pleased. Movers were polite, professional, and were able to squeeze everyting into a small 7-foot POD.

They asked questions to determine exactly how to best pack the POD. They were respectful of my property, and specifically asked if it was OK to move the mover's dollies over the lawn.

Highly recommended.

Mover's response:
Thank you for sharing your experience Rick. We are happy you were very pleased with our service. We really appreciate your business.

Alex and Dennis did and EXCELLENT job moving everything. They were attentive and respectful and helped with the small requests I needed for the move. They completed the work in record time. It was a pleasure to have such nice and extremely competent movers. Thanks for the great service.

They were five hours late. One of the movers smelled like marijuana. The best they offered me was a 10 percent discount, which was ultimately negated because they stayed over 30 minutes and stilled tacked that bill on. They could've at least waived that for me. Would never recommend this service to anyone. Just move your own belongings or find something other than Hire A helper.

Mover's response:
Yes, we were very late and we do apologize for the in-convenience. We kept in contact with you the entire time with status updates, letting you know that the job before your was taking a lot longer than expected. You said you were flexible and was mainly concerned about getting things done on that day 08/15/2020. We issued you a 10% discount for the tardiness & inconvenience and you were happy with that at the moment. The guys came completed your project in the time warranted on 08/15/2020. Now, I thought we settled the tardiness with the discount in which you seemed very pleased about? You never mentioned it wasn't enough when we offered it to you. The guys worked 2.5 hours because that was how much work you had. The job was completed on the day you needed it, we were late and compensated you for the tardiness. Why shouldn't you pay for the actual time the guys worked after we gave you a discount? Now, I do not condone any one coming to work smelling like marijuana, but I must ask you this question. If you live in MD and the guys that came to service your location live in Washington DC, where marijuana is legal, nearing "2021" what is the basis of your marijuana complaint? Was something damaged? Where they rude? Did they light up a joint on the job? I'm baffled sir, we have no control of what our guys do on there own time. We do apologize again for the tardiness

Dennis and Alex were amazing! I think they both play Tetris on their off hours because they packed that POD perfectly without wasting an inch of space. They were very professional to me and respectful of my property. They took the time to do the job right and I really appreciated that. Kudos!

Mover's response:
Tetris huh? I love the concept, lol. We are happy to know you were pleased with our services Mary. Thanks for the feedback

They were late, arriving a few hours beyond their estimated time. But once they arrived, they finished early and with a good attitude. Beside the delay, my only complaint is that I was a little disappointed they didn't keep their facemasks on. All in all, they worked hard, took care with our household goods, and they were polite to me and kind to my kids. Happy they came, and they were worth the hire.

Mover's response:
We do apologize for the tardiness Mike and happy to hear you were overall satisfied with our service. I understand the complaint about the face mask and safety concern. A few of our guys have health conditions like asthma, allergies etc... So when working under the conditions they were facing like lifting up steps, heavy furniture, constant up & down, back & forth, in the extreme heat, a breath of fresh air can go a long way. So we stress to them that whenever entering the home it is recommended, but they are allowed to remove it so they can breath once they get back outside.

I felt like that last hour was rushed and I did see some damage on some of my tables and the last bit of stuff moved to the pod was rushed. I still needed stuff moved to the pod. So the pod company took my stuff and some shifted due to open space on the pod. I’m not sure how extensive damage is till I move to our new home

My reservation time is between 8:00 to 9:00 am
They called me at 8:30 and told me they would come at 9:30.
Finally, they came at almost 10:00 am.

This was my 15th move in the past 38 years (prior military) and was by far the worst. Asked for three (3) workers for four (4) hours. After explaining my household goods I was told two (2) movers for four (4) hours would be more than enough. Told them if so, they need to be big and strong for some heavy furniture.
The two workers showed up just about on time. The "experienced" one was 22 and his untrained assistant was 21. I was amazed at what I saw getting out of their car. The "big" guy was maybe 145-150 lbs and his assistant was 125 lbs. I asked if that was it...they assured me it was more than enough.
On the second item moved, a 4.5' solid wood chest of drawers, we urged them to take out the drawers due to weight. They did not..."Trust me I know what I'm doing". It made it down 1 step (of 14) before the crash resulting in the entire top of a solid wood dresser being ripped off and the lead mover being slightly injured. About an hour wasted in discussing dresser and injury.
The day just got better...kicking wooden bookcase down a sidewalk, packing PODS first with items I asked to go last, etc....
Halfway through the packing, the "experienced" mover said I'm not a packer, just a mover...asked that he get a packer then...no luck.
The main theme throughout the rest of the day is how bad their boss was and how he screwed them in the job.
Due to time constraints, I was unable to cancel the movers and reschedule.
I'm sure there are good experiences with this company, but based on my experience I do not recommend them, and certainly not for a move of more than 1-2 rooms.
Total damages yet to be determined. Not overly concerned about $$, but would have liked my belongings handled with quite a bit more care and someone experienced enough to truly coordinate to get the job done.
On the positive side, it was refreshing seeing young people out hustling for work.
