Didn’t have some of basic equipment like a 2-wheeler or straps which might have helped them to get done sooner and handle some of the heavier stuff. All in all, they did do a good job.

The 2 young men who helped us unload our POD did a good job. They were on time, worked hard and were very respectful. I would recommend that they arrive with a furniture dolly though. Fortunately we had a dolly for them to use. They were clearly not professionals but did get everything in without any incidents. I would recommend these guys for your move.

We had three young gentlemen who helped us load 22 Linear Feet of cargo in a 28-foot-long trailer parked in front of our house. The work was completed within the initially projected time (4 hours), and we paid almost $900 (with a tip that brought up our total cost close to $1200). During the loading, the crew worked well; they seemed energetic, talked well, and moved items fast to the trailer. I was not able to see or observe how they were stacking our boxes and other items, such as wood furniture pieces, kitchen chairs, tables, bikes, skis, snowboards, and bed headboards, together for the 2000-mile road trip.

The Hire-A-Helper emailed me an estimate that I needed to order/prepare more than 12 required straps and over 96 furniture blankets or pads for the moving day (which cost me an additional ~$300 to order and have ready for the crew). To my surprise, the moving crew used only a few straps, a handful of rubber bands, and a minimal amount of blankets and pads (maybe only 20 or a maximum of 30), making me slightly nervous about scratches and potential damage. We ended up having 3+ bundles of blankets/furniture pads left unopened and unused.

Upon arrival in our final destitution, almost every piece of furniture had severe visible scratches from moving and rubbing against hard surfaces during the road trip. Our Mini Refrigerator doors were bent and dented; some of our mountain bikes had significant scratches on the paint; some bikes had flat tires on unloading, etc. Some items, such as our daughter's bed headboard, were so bad that we had to throw them away. My wife was extremely unhappy with the conditions of the items as they came out of the trailer upon arrival at the final destination. Even the crew helping us to unload commented multiple times on how poorly and unprofessional the items were loaded and stacked by the initial destination crew.

I rate this team highly for communication and speed of work. However, they did a poor job protecting our belongings from scratches and damages during transportation. Overall, we are unhappy with the results, which are not in line with the fees, charges, and tips we paid. I recommend the trucking company U-Pack, but the moving companies on both ends of the trip under-delivered in their help and services.

The gentlemen were prompt, professional, and did a great job with unloading my POD. They were both very friendly. I would definitely utilize this company if needed again.

My movers were great. I only had a single 16 ft POD and the two gentlemen had it unloaded in a littlr over an hour. The also set up our furniture. They were very carefull and we had absolutely no damage to anything. We are very happy we used their service.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

The customer can expect to receive a text confirming the date and time of the job. Through this communication they can also add any additional information that might be helpful such as: heavy items, long walks, specialty items, parking arrangements, etc.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

The movers will be on-site within the arrival window given. They will then do a walkthrough of the premises in order to strategize best practices for your individual relocation. They will then go over paperwork and begin the move.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Any prep the customer does on their end will quicken the move saving the movers time and, in effect, the customer money. Prep may include: breaking down beds, emptying drawers, clearing a walkway throughout the house, etc. Of course if these things are not done before hand, the workers will willingly do them when they arrive.

What types of moves have you handled?

After so many years in the industry there is nothing we haven't seen. We've done something so small as moving a couple of pieces of furniture to another room to relocating five thousand pound printing presses across town. We've relocated customers from California to Maine and everywhere in between. We can provide packing materials, packing services, loading services, transportation, unloading services, and unpacking services. In short there's nothing we can't do in this industry.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

The bet part of the job is seeing the relief in the customers' faces when they see that they don't have to move anything or stress about someone else moving their possessions. it always makes me smile when they visibly relax. Moving doesn't have to be stressful.

What training do you provide your crew members?

The onboarding process for our movers is extensive. Probably the part I like the best about our company is that 100% of our workers are referrals from workers we already have. That means the guys we hire are already vetted by our own employees who would never want to work with someone unreliable or lazy. In fact when we interview a person we already know what kind of work ethic and character he or she has after talking to the person that referred the potential worker. Our workers are as good as it gets.
