We had 2 movers from 5-start movers to help us move some furniture from our house into a Storage POD on the street. They were very professional, were very careful with the furniture, and had excellent lifting form to avoid injury. They were thoughtful in how they loaded the POD, making sure that the weight was distributed evenly and that sections were roped off to prevent shifting of contents. For more fragile items, they had suggestions and help for how to best wrap and protect them. We will likely hire them again when it comes time to unload the POD. Thanks!

This was our first time hiring movers to help. It went so smooth from the first call to when they left. They were courteous, prompt, knowledgeable, got so much stuff into or pod and let us know how to finish packing it up to maximize space. If you need to move how these guys you won't be disappointed. Wish they were down in Florida so we could hire them again. Than n you so much for the great experience.

I would recommend 5 Star Movers and use them again in the future. Reserving the helpers was a breeze through Hire-A-Helper and received confirmation via phone call shortly after confirming there would be helpers at our scheduled day and time. They showed up on time and ready to work. They didn't stop until the job was done. If they were unsure of where to put something they asked. They treated our stuff as if it was there own. When a customer books with 5-Star Movers, they can expect a prompt phone call to go over the details of the move, and discuss what the best options are for the customer to make the move go as smoothly as possible.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The customer should expect a crew that moves their items quickly and efficiently, while also being lighthearted and able to joke around with them and have fun on the moving day.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The customer should prepare for moving day by making sure they have plenty of ratchet straps and blankets so our team can come in and make sure all of their items are packed as securely and safely as possible. If it is a larger apartment complex, we advise that they reserve a freight elevator for use during their move.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have done all types of moves from long distance full-service jobs to California, office moves, full PODs packs, and even just moving a couch around in a house. We can do it all!
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part of being a mover is the variation in environment from day to day. Sometimes I could be working at a 8000 square foot mansion with a 6 man crew, other days I could be working at a studio apartment with one other person. Every day is truly different, and that's what makes it exciting!
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our crew members all know how to use basic tools for assembly and disassembly, they know how to use moving equipment such as dollies and shoulder straps to make the move smoother. Our experienced guys are very good at loading trucks, and show the new people how to do it so they can one day be a great loader as well. We also prioritize attention to detail and will miss out on jobs sometimes rather than ever sending a crew we don't believe is 5-Star quality.
