These guys were phenomenal! I ended up in a rough place due to an unexpected ER trip during my move, so I was behind when the A1 movers showed up so I was very stressed. Nick and Chris were amazing, they helped us disassemble our furniture, reassemble it in the new place and helped us felt all our furniture in addition to moving all of our packed items, allowing us to catch up on our packing. They also paid special attention to moving my grandfather clock with no damage! If you are in this company's service area you need to hire them, it's a no brainer.

Nick, Brad and Chris from A1- Movers did an amazing job packing my things into two separate PODs, a long term POD going to storage facility and a short term POD going to my new home. Very challenging to fit everything in. But they did an amazing job and showed a high degree of care with handling my items. Can't say enough about what a great job they did.

Pleasant and friendly- did a good job - finished quickly didn't waste any time. Helped assemble some pieces of furniture, but didn't need full 2 hours and price for 2 hrs was rather pricey- $285. Same service in Mi was considerably less $$.

The Hire A Helper company they sent for our move was A-1 Movers. I've seen their trucks around so I knew that they have been an active business for years.
I was called by Curtis from A-1 to verify the move and was told what to expect and who was going to be there. The two movers that arrived were Nicholas and Christopher. They were on time, knowledgeable and polite. They knew exactly what they were doing and you could tell by the way they moved around the house. And the move went without a hitch and would recommend these guys to anyone who doesn't want to lift heavy furniture or do any lifting at all.
It was worth every penny and that wasn't all that many pennies!

I can not say enough about how incredible A-1 is.
Curtis is an absolute angel and really saved us in an unfortunate moving situation. We had scheduled A-1 for a very rainy Sunday morning (9am) and ended up having serious issues with our rental truck. A-1's foreman Nick and his colleague Chris were prompt, on time and so so nice. They noticed our truck had sprung a leak in the roof, so we needed to trade it in for a new one. They unfortunately had to leave for another job, cutting our four hour slot to 30 mins. But once we got a new truck, the team came back at 7pm (an hour earlier than originally planned!) and got us moved from Roslindale to Salem, MA. They were so understanding, we could not believe how amazing they were - they did NOT need to come back, but they absolutely saved our lives.
Despite all of the crazy logistical issues we had, they also were so incredibly delicate with our belongings. Nick is seriously a magician.

Nicholas and Chris did an exceptional job packing my uhaul truck. They wrapped everything with great care and all of my things came through the 600 mile drive in perfect condition. I had numerous glass tables and fragile antiques and breakables. They packed two and a half storage units into a 15 foot truck, and nothing moved on the drive. I highly recommend this company.

This review is overdue. Nick (the foreman) and his wing man Kenny are awesome! They moved me out of my house into temporary housing a month ago and now my apartment was ready so they did both of my moves. They are very courteous to communicate with and conscientious of all my possessions. They were always in a positive mood and you could hear them banter with each other and make the best of a VERY laborious job. Never complained and never needed to be told anything twice. Highly recommended!!!! Oh please feed the movers and tip them! They deserve to be treated well for doing such a tough job!

we always call on the day of the move , my crew comes in full uniform ,with shrink wrap ,dollies , and tools , professional, caring , polite and willing to help in anyway , we start by padding and shrink wrapping all of your furniture and making sure floors and walls are protected , and the we strategically pack everything into your pod or truck with great care and precision , making sure in the process your are completely comfortable and satisfied with our work
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
all you needd to do is make sure everything is in boxes , leave the rest to us , we will take care of the rest . our job is to make your move as easy and stress free as possible
What types of moves have you handled?
we had handled all types of moves , big ,small , we also do commercial moves , we handle unloading of 53ft trucks at Renewal by Anderson window company every week and have for the past 5 years
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
meeting new people , being able to help people and making them happy , we enjoy the personal touch we inflict on our customers ,
What training do you provide your crew members?
all of my men are trained with me personally for there first 3 months , so i can teach them the way we do things here at A-1 Movers , we are not like the rest , we put our heart and soul into every customer we move ,
