Absolutely awful experience with this company. Unresponsive and took advantage of my father who is a disabled veteran. The short story is they charged us $960 for 3 hours of work, when we actually paid for 5. We had booked through hire a helper (which we will NEVER DO AGAIN). My Dad had a traumatic brain injury from the service, which has led to a terminal illness, and this move was very stressful for us. He underestimated the size of the truck needed due to his condition. The movers showed up and loaded the truck in about 2 hours. The truck was full and it was already 9PM at night. We still had a whole garage full of stuff and one additional room. The movers had no idea about the policies as it relates to unused time. I saw on hire a helpers website that we could adjust time, so I thought I could be refunded for the unused time. They played dumb because it was late and they wanted to go home. It was too late to call the office to find out what would happen to the unused time. I just expected the company would do the right thing, but I guess that's on me. So they stole $400 from my dad, and left us with an entire additional move to be completed. They ignored my many calls, emails and voicemails. I got in touch with someone at the office who was incredibly unhelpful. He said that their policy is this way because the time is booked and the employees can't take another job as the time was reserved for us--I understand that under normal circumstances-- but please tell me who is going to start their move at 10PM?! He basically lied to me and told me that "hire a helper was working on it". Which was false, because hire a helper said Morris's policy was to not refund unused time, they let me know they would follow up with Morris and get back to me, but they didn't. No further calls or emails with updates. I finally let them know I would be filing a complaint with the BBB, and the guy's reply was in short--"go ahead, our policies are our policies". Shameful and dishonest all the way around, its companies like this that give the entire industry a bad reputation. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...and word to the wise--don't ever book more than 2 hours on hire a helper, or you will be grossly overcharged for services you didn't even use.
I'm sorry you didn't understand our policies after reading them and agreeing to them. You sent the movers home and told them you would be moving the final items. The crew was more than willing to stay and complete the job you booked. I am sorry to hear about your fathers health issues, but when you have a crew block off time for you knowing they will need to work that time and it wont be refunded regardless of any claimed health issues. You told the crew you booked the job too late and never mentioned your father booking the job. Sorry for your misunderstanding of our policies that are written in plain text and you agreed to before booking a move at 6pm.

The Movers from Morris Moving and Storage were the perfect combination of friendly, respectful, and hard-working.
As soon as they arrived, they got right to work. Whenever they had questions, they did not hesitate to ask.
Initially, I was afraid that they wouldn't be able to move everything before my time with them was up. Surprisingly, they actually finished early.
In closing, Morris Moving and Storage did an excellent job. I would be more than happy to use them again.

Our movers arrive and ask for a quick walkthrough of the property, and at this time you should express any concerns you have or special request you may have.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Try to make sure boxes are sealed and ready to be moved, if there are any items not to be moved please make sure they are marked.

We handle all types of moves, from local, long distance, residential and commercial.
