Key movers was amazing. I feel the two of them did the equivalent of four people!! They were quick, experienced, and really strong. They literally carried 2-4 heavy boxes of books at a time! They were polite and respectful, even quickly giving attention to my children when they were excited to show them something. I highly recommend them.

Professional, great workers, they know how to pack a truck. All I have to do is drive off. They were punctual and I recommend them highly! You will be pleased!

I’m conflicted on what kind of review to leave. I hired two helpers for two hours. When describing my job, I told them we “mainly” needed help carrying large heavy pieces of furniture to our upstairs (dressers, washer and dryer, heavy mattresses, etc). They were an hour and a half late to the job because they were finishing another job. About 30 minutes past the time they were supposed to show the office coordinator called and said they were running behind. We weren’t on a schedule that day so I told her that was fine. When they got there they got to work right away and I was super impressed by how strong and how fast they were. They carried all our very heavy pieces of furniture upstairs in about 50 minutes. I didn’t expect them to get all the furniture upstairs that quickly but they did. I was excited because we still had an hour left so I thought they could help us get more boxes upstairs. Then that’s where our trouble started.
After the furniture was taken upstairs one of the workers disappeared around the side of the house to make a phone call. The other worker basically told me that since all the furniture was upstairs their job was done. I told him I had paid for two hours and that there were still several boxes they could help take off the truck upstairs and into the house. He told me they were late for another job. All this while the 2nd worker was on the side of the house on his phone. I was frustrated because I paid over $200 for two hours of help and less than one hour in they were wanting to leave. I told them they could leave early if they didn’t charge me for the second hour and he said there was a two hour minimum. The worker not on his phone did take a few more heavy boxes upstairs but I could tell he didn’t want to be there anymore and was ready to leave. He kept saying they were there to help with the big items. When I asked him to take a few smaller boxes upstairs he again said they were there to help with big items. We had some large wardrobe boxes still on our moving truck behind some other things so I said, let me get to those and you can help with those. He said it would be too difficult to get to those wardrobe boxes. At that point the other worker was still on his phone and so I just asked them both to leave and called the office coordinator.
She was apologetic and agreed they should have completed the whole two hours regardless of what they were carrying inside. But she said she couldn’t refund me the second hour that they did not help me. I wish I would have called the office coordinator before I asked them to leave because she said she would have made them finish the job, even if it made them late (later? Because they were already behind) to their next job. So I should have done that rather than just tell them to go. If the guy on the phone had an emergency he was trying to handle he should of communicated that to me. Instead he literally just disappeared and was done after the heavy furniture got taken upstairs.
So what I should have done different is just put in the job description that I needed two helpers for an entire two hours. Not that I “mainly” needed help getting large heavy furniture upstairs. And I should have called the office coordinator before I got really frustrated and asked them to go since one of them wasn’t working at all and the other one was balking at what I did ask him to help with.
This company was significantly less than others that were available and in this case I guess I got what I paid for. They had really great reviews when I booked it, so I was surprised by my experience. If you choose this company just be sure if you want them there the entire two hours you specify that you want the entire two hours. When they were working they were strong and fast. But I think there was missed communication and expectations all around. I would not use them again unless I could be assured they would stay for the entire time I paid for when there was still plenty for them to help with.
