I used this business back in June of 2022 to move a two bedroom townhome (not even 1100 square feet, so pretty manageable) into a Pod. The only reason I’m not giving them one star is that it was raining and my pod was located a couple units down so not the ideal combination.
They showed up and initially things were moving smoothly. I was even impressed with the speed of moving some heavier pieces up from downstairs. However, they were slowed down by the rain a bit and took several breaks. At some point they said my pod was getting too full and they couldn’t fit all my stuff into the pod. Told me I had to make choices with my furniture left over in my apartment. All were heirloom pieces so I told them all had to go in. They then started dragging their feet, and saying they were over their time (even though I had paid for two hours plus an additional hour and they were barely at 2 hours). One of the guys was helpful and understood my stress and offered to stay later even though he wouldn’t have had a ride to make sure I got everything in. They did get the heaviest stuff into the pod, then told me it was full. I still had a lot leftover to go in. They showed me that it was full, I’m pretty sure making use of the fact that I was short and couldn’t see over the mattress they had at the very front.
After they left my friend discovered that the pod wasn’t full. Wasn’t full at all and all my furniture that was sitting in my garage without a home could have fit if the pod had been packed properly. We spent FIVE hours after they left shoving things over the mattress and into the empty spaces. It should not have taken that long for them to pack it half full, and if it had been packed properly, it would have been packed in time and with all my stuff. I had to abandon so many things because of these guys and I was furious. Boxes didn’t reach the ceiling at any point, furniture was packed haphazardly and it is a miracle that nothing broke (the words of the guys who unpacked my pod in Michigan).
I would never recommend this company, at least not for moving into a pod. They do not have the experience or they just don’t care.

Genesis did a great job. The crew of Dwayne Cross, Angel Martinez and Chris Louis were the very best. We have another POD being delivered on Wednesday March 9th...we insist that you send these three guys to us on March 9th.....please.

we are accountable for our work on daily basis. You can also count on us to arrive at your property promptly and in uniform. We will complete your move at a time that best fits your schedule.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
To be best prepared for moving day, take care of your kids at pets, their safety and well-being remains our number one priority. And of course, the same goes for any pets you might own. We highly recommend to keep yours and family members personal documents, jewelry with you. Be careful not to misplace your keys as searching for them on moving day will be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Make sure to unplug any electronics and appliances.

the best part of being a mover is to see smiles in customer's faces, knowing that we went above and beyond for them to complete their move. to know that we are moving their lives belonging toward a new beginning is priceless.
What training do you provide your crew members?
In order to exceed customer expectations we provide daily training on topics such as; proper lifting Technics, to prevent injuries from our team members. their safety its our priority. Proper furniture wrapping Technics to make sure customer households goods remain in the conditions found. We train our team in proper loading procedures, making sure the basics are covered when performing the job to make sure household goods do not get damaged during transportation. We also provide proper packing procedures
