Two wonderful young men! They arrived on time. They were friendly and courteous. They were cooperative, helpful and worked very hard and efficiently! the service was better than excellent! They made a misetable job (unpacking my storage POD) an unexpectedly almost a breeze! I can't praise them enough! Truly a job well done and it is the best $ I ever spent! And very reasonable price! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!

The original crew did not show. The second crew showed approximately 2 hours after the original start time. They were nice and spoke in a professional manner. In my opinion, however, they were exhausted from their prior move and required assistance. Overall, I was horribly disappointed and rated them at "poor".

we enjoyed the good, positive spirit the men brought to the job. they were willing to do whatever we asked. we certainly would call them again.

The guys cmae in and moved some for me, and I was really thankful for the two movers.

They were here early.
They were ready to work.
They worked very hard. We could not have done the job without the two mens help.
The guys did a great job handling our household items. My husband let them stack and load in the truck. This is very unusual because he usually does all the loading.
The guys were great I would use them again. I will recommend this group to everyone.

I hired a crew of 4 guys for 2 hours. I had a 26 foot(biggest size) truck from UHaul. I was dissapointed in the service because I felt that 4 guys should have been able to unload the truck easily within 2 hours. It was hot that day, and they took many breaks. 3 years ago, I made a similar move with the same size truck and I had 2 guys clear it in about 2 hours. They even helped with the setup of the furniture. The UCALL & IHAUL team did not really help with the setup, and I had to do alot of rearranging in the rooms after they left.

Made arrangements to meet at a particular time. Called the day before to verify the time and was met with a "Yes, of course well be there on time". They ended up coming five hours late, which would have been fine, but instead of just saying upfront they'd be five hours late we were consistantly met with a "We'll be there in 30 minutes" leaving us stranded at the house. Tons of excuses were thrown at us... but basically they overbooked and didn't have enough people. The job they did was okay, everything was unpacked really fast.... did end up losing a knob on my dressor drawer, but things happen.
They did the job, but I can see where there services need much improvement.
FYI for ANYONE on HireAHelper that hires a service at a particular time.... for every hour that service is late you get 5% knocked off the price! But you HAVE TO CALL HireAHelper THE DAY OF to tell them your service started late by _ hours and took _ hours to complete the work. If you only want to pay for 2 hours of work, make SURE you tell HireAHelper that you told everyone they were done after 2 hours.... if not they will continue to charge you.
Not too happy with HireAHelpers response to my issue either. They called UCall&IHaul and recieved the voicemail, but never followed up again. ... also took three calls, and the company being 3 hours late to find out about the 5%/hr reduction in price.

I must admit I was extremely disappointed with UCall. I was originally assigned another company with a good reputation. At the last minute, they were not available and I was assigned UCall. I would have appreciated a courtesy call to confirm the day before which I never got. My biggest concern was that I had an L-shaped desk with a hutch I got at Office Furniture Expo made by IFI that had to be meticulously assembled and was extremely heavy. I wanted to make sure the folks I was assigned had expertise in disassembling and reassembling same.
According to the Hire a Helper contract the movers were to show between 8 and 9 on Saturday. They were an hour late starting. The two gentlemen who showed up had good intentions but appeared somewhat lacking in experience. They told me they had been with the company only two weeks.
Although they made a valiant effort and worked hard, taking the furniture apart and moving it from Tucker to Norcross proved to be extremely difficult for them. What should have been a three or four hour job turned into eight! They did not even get out of Tucker until almost 2.
In the middle of all this I had a conversation with Rick the CEO and he said that since by using his men for more hours than planned I was cutting into another job I had to pay overtime of $80 per hour. There may be some fine print somewhere that says $80 but I would have really liked to have that communicated to me. No contract was signed, no pre-job phone conversation with the company was had before the job started. I can promise you that had I known that I would have never booked the job. I feel somewhat cheated.
Worst thing is, after two hours of attempting to put the furniture together, the two movers were not able to get the furniture together and it was still uncompleted. After 7 hours, I finally told the crew I would have to let them go and got a friend who is more knowledgeable in dealing with this type of furniture to fix it the following Monday, which he did with relatively little effort.
My question to Hire A Helper is: why did they tell me there were people competent to dismantle and reassemble office furniture if they weren't?
Today I received an email that the total overtime of 4 hours will cost me a total of $320. This is for a job that was half done.
Also, the hour delay cost ME extra time and expense in what has been a very frustrating move. As a minimum it would have been nice to get credited the hour of my time I lost waiting for people to show up.
Again, I do not fault the movers as much as I fault management-both with Hire a Helper and UHaul Ihaul. I was informed by Hire a Helper that there would be no problem getting workers who knew exactly how to move put-together office furniture like I had.
Bottom line: you have a seriously frustrated customer! In the future I think I will bypass the "fly by night" organizations and just go with a professional moving company. Because my time is valuable...and I just wasted a ton of it on Saturday 8/13/11.
As soon as the amount posts to American Express, I have already notified them of my intention of putting the charges into dispute.
