This was the second time I used Hire A Helper, as their service the first time was good (different group, not A Perfect solution). This experience started off absolutely wonderful. Two guys did a great job packing the truck, BUT, both received too many calls on their cell phones and talked too much to myself and neighbors who dropped by, which resulted in taking longer than probably necessary. They went over the time, which wasn't a particularly big deal until one of the movers decided he needed to get home. As a result the final hour of the move was extremely chaotic, things weren't loaded that should have been, I had to bring things out of the house myself to make sure they got onto the truck and I was repeatedly asked "what else needed to go" after telling them several times "everything in the house and garage". Doors and handles were taken off the refrigerator to get it out of the kitchen (though this wasn't required when it was delivered) and they weren't reattached, and parts weren't placed inside, making finding them on the other end difficult. Upon finishing, the lead person told me that I owed them another $130.00, again no big deal, it took longer than expected, however he wanted cash or check only. This seemed odd as Hire A Helper has a function that allows you to pay for extra time used on your original charge to your credit card. Check book was packed and fortunately I had cash to pay the final amount. I would rate 90% of the job as excellent, but the final hour made it much more stressful and difficult than was called for. Didn't use Hire A Helper on this end as a result, just hired a local moving company to do the unpacking.

I would not recommend A Perfect Solution for your moving needs. I had scheduled two movers for two hours and after they didn't show up at the scheduled time, I had to call to find out when they would arrive. They showed up almost two hours late with only one dolly and were not adequately prepared for the job. As a result, only one person could do the heavy lifting. They were respectful of my property, however they did not follow all of my directions and left items in various places in my garage. Overall, the men were polite and apologetic for the late arrival, I just wouldn't use them again in the future.

These guys are great. We had them load a Pack Rat container and are amazed at how much they fit in it.
They were here for about 4 hours and worked hard the whole time. They took one 10 minute break. They hauled all the heavy stuff downstairs with no problem. The carefully packed my glass desk, table and cabinets with glass. Peter is friendly and professional, and communicated well with me both before and during the move. We have already recommended them to my husbands best friend. I don't think you'll find a better team at any price.

3 guys took 5 hours to unload a one bedroom apt. yes it was up one flight of stairs. I bought them lunch and they billed me for that time too. they didn't bother to read the carefully marked boxes or put together 2 of 3 pieces of furniture. Things were put in the wrong places. I told them i was stlil recovering from chemotherapy and could not lift things myself. My problem now. I give these guys a D

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
All we need, is anything on top of items that we are moving to be cleared off. Knowledge that they are providing the truck and any moving blankets needed. To be available for any questions that might come up and to be in earshot during their relaxation as we provide our services.
What types of moves have you handled?
All types of moves, local, long distance and especially specializing in office moves. Commercial moves, military moves, port moves. Hazardous material moves, structure moves and other various moves. We have moved things that truly we're not meant to be moved in one piece studio apartments the entire structure walls doors roof electricity plumbing everything. Photos if asked lol.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Experiencing the look and feeling of the customer once they realize, everything they thought was possible is being done right in front of her eyes.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Hands-On with me on a job for weeks until they graduate to solo abilities. Unfortunately for them I contain 30 years of modular furniture experience insulation tear down and relocating and warehousing trashing out wiping down finished product. Executive offices $70,000 desks one little dent your life is over. That military training LOL it's passed down every single one of my employees because moving is easy if you do it right and it's hard to damage anything with blankets and knowledge truly
