Helpers were on time, respectful, and worked hard. They moved several pieces of furniture (big and small) after completion of my renovation/flooring project. For six months, my house has been chaos and now it is finally back in order and (almost) ready for company on Thanksgiving. I hope I don't need to use them again for awhile but would definitely recommend them to others.

S & L Express Moving Services, for Hire a Helper, has now unloaded 4 pods for us to complete our move from California to Illinois. Fantastic job all the way around. This is the 5th time we have used HireAHelper and it has always been a great experience.
Here in Illinois HireAHelper scheduled Trent and Ricky from S & L Express Moving Services to unload our last 3 PODS. They have done great work. Extremely hard working and conscientious plus excellent communication and timeliness. They just unloaded our 3rd POD and we could not be happier with how everything has worked out. Outstanding experience.

I can not describe what a wonderful job that Damien and David did. They were polite, accommodating, and extremely efficient. They were able to pack our POD in a little under 2 hours. They were very concerned about protecting the walls and woodwork as they carried down our extremely heavy large furniture. Do not consider any other helpers for loading your POD. I know you will not be disappointed.

The guys were fantastic.
I didn't like that I paid for 4 hours and was done in 2 hours. I didn't get a refund and the helpers only got paid for 2 hours.

On time, polite guys that worked very efficiently to complete a move of 200+ boxes out of a basement, onto a truck in less than 2 hours. I would recommend them.

My rating would have been a 5 if not for one thing, they were late. I had flown in from Chicago, with the intention of driving a U-Haul to Ohio with my things. The drive is about 7 hours in a 15’ truck. Because they were an hour later than the agreed window, I had to move all but the furniture out of the storage unit so that when they arrived the job could be done quickly and I could get on the road. They finished the job in under an hour, but I had done 85% of the work. So the 2 hour minimum was a waste for me.
I understand things happen, but I was not local, had a plan to minimize my night driving in a truck I wasn’t familiar with, and was not expecting to do most of the moving myself.
Now I will use them again, the employees were very careful with my belongings, they were respectful, did a nice job packing the truck, and were apologetic about their lateness. But the company needs to do a better job of managing their jobs.

We've noticed that customers who have items already packed and furniture items wrapped save time and money. However, we are more than happy to assist with any of these task the day of the move, just please book adequate time if any of these services are needed

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Our favorite part is seeing customers looks of relief after we've assisted them and also knowing that our company assisted in minimizing some of the customers stress that comes along with moving
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our service providers and sub-contracted and most already have the needed skills to perform the job. I've heard that they stay updated by actual on the job experiences dealing with unexpected issues and how-to video guides available online
