These guys were great. They arrived an hour late (and didn't do a good job of communicating that) but it wasn't an issue for me (if it was, I'd probably ding a star). The two guys did a great job getting the stuff into my building including all the large pieces of furniture. It would have been impossible for me to move in without them. Both guys were very helpful, courteous, and respectful and I felt they made the effort to be careful with our stuff, especially fragile things. Happy to report nothing go broken and everything went smoothly. Would recommend them to others moving in NYC.

ASAP Moving Labor arrived right on time and ready to get to work. Kevin and Brody were friendly and courteous. I can't say that they were prepared for the job because we decided to move an antique tub (originally planned for the garage) into the house and up the stairs the morning of the job. They accepted this new burden without complaint and managed this difficult task successfully. They had knowledge of how to pack and move things properly without damage. I did all of the research I possibly could, and hired this company because I thought they would be the best. I would have literally have been better off asking my friends for free. I ended up moving furniture myself with my girlfriends help during the time I hired them because they were so incompetent. We ended up lifting more than these people did out of necessity, they showed up like it was day 1 and they didn't know what to do. I would not have left a review if I didn't want to help someone else in my position, please avoid for your own sake.

My move date and time kept changing, and Eric at Asap Moving Labor was very accommodating with my needs. There was a last minute change in the time on the day of the move, but the movers were very fast and were able to get everything done on time and I made my flight. I really appreciated that Eric was always available for my calls and very kind with all my changes, especially on a holiday weekend. Also, the two movers were fast and very polite.

I will never use this company or (ASAP moving) recommend them. The owner began to harass, threatening to file paperwork at the police department. And get an attorney because I did not pay the bill only after 5 days. They were aware of my moving across the state. Also new that i only had a landline which would be disconnected during the move. He also sent a very inappropriate email, referring to his race being the reason I hadn't paid him. Beware of this company. Tried forwarding these emails to Hire a Helper. For some reason they continue to be rejected.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Relief & professionalism. They also can expect to get more items in their POD or Pack-rat / Rental Truck than they expected. They should expect to save a bunch of money on PODS and the Amount of PODS they need to move.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
A Early arrival & communication. A day %100 dedicated to getting their job done in a efficient time with no damages or mistakes.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Make sure you have blankets! If you are renting a POD or Pack-Rat Be sure to tell them to throw 1-2 dozen blankets in the container before its delivered. Most of the time they don't even charge you. Also gather any washable blankets , sheets or towels we can use for protection... This way you don't have to break the bank on blankets. We also have started to use Boxes from Home depot. Lowes or Walmart. We can cut the boxes open and use them for TV crating, protection of Glass & Surfaces for stacking.
What types of moves have you handled?
NYC jewelry store to LA, NYC home building associations , residential moves, Las Vegas Convention Center (Santee Cosmetics), Oz mannequins + Commercial Appliance Moves. I also moved Rosie O'donnel & Michelle Rounds & many other celebs.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
New scenery & meeting cool. interesting nice people.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We watch you tube moving self help videos to stay fresh & consider new techniques to add to our skill sets. We also stretch daily & incorporate cardio into our lives to stay conditioned.
