They were very nice kids. They didn’t seem to plan before moving things upstairs and got caught in some precarious positions and we realized when they left they had scraped up the wall a bit. Our landlord wasn’t pleased. They had a lot of trouble remembering to look at where the boxes were labeled so they often brought things up the stairs only to have me point out it needed to go back down the stairs. We noticed some after they left so we had to do those ourselves. Which stinks after getting movers who even got to leave early. A few of our things were broken, not significantly but they knocked a handle off a box and scratched some furniture

Mover's response:
we told you that some things where not going to fit up the stairs and you insisted we try anyway ,as a result we put a 2 inch scratch on the paint on the wall , also none of the boxed where labeled and you where ask to stay down stairs so we did have to run up stair and ask you where things belonged and again you did not listen , it drives me crazy that people hire professionals and then don't listen to us and when things go wrong blame it on the help , all this after you changed the arrival time 3 times on us and we had to squeeze you in-between jobs be of the time change ,o and those kids are in there 30's and i'm 45

The movers were on time and prepared for the job. They were great with moving the large pieces of furniture out of my apartment and packing everything into our truck. They treated all my property with care and were so efficient. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

I used a POD to move, but when I booked, I didn't realize my POD would be placed on the far end of my building's parking lot which was about 200 yards from the door. The guys didn't complain a bit. Instead, they quickly helped me come up with a solution. We unloaded the POD into our vehicles and made a series of trips to efficiently get it done. Kudos! I'd highly recommend A-1!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

A phone call to confirm all the info we have is correct , and if there is any special needs that we can help with confirm : date, time, and location , also make sure all your questions are answered

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

we always call on the day of the move , my crew comes in full uniform ,with shrink wrap ,dollies , and tools , professional, caring , polite and willing to help in anyway , we start by padding and shrink wrapping all of your furniture and making sure floors and walls are protected , and the we strategically pack everything into your pod or truck with great care and precision , making sure in the process your are completely comfortable and satisfied with our work

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

all you needd to do is make sure everything is in boxes , leave the rest to us , we will take care of the rest . our job is to make your move as easy and stress free as possible

What types of moves have you handled?

we had handled all types of moves , big ,small , we also do commercial moves , we handle unloading of 53ft trucks at Renewal by Anderson window company every week and have for the past 5 years

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

meeting new people , being able to help people and making them happy , we enjoy the personal touch we inflict on our customers ,

What training do you provide your crew members?

all of my men are trained with me personally for there first 3 months , so i can teach them the way we do things here at A-1 Movers , we are not like the rest , we put our heart and soul into every customer we move ,
