Didn’t follow instructions, didn’t listen to priority items. Didn’t read fragile on boxes and stacked on top of them. Lots of broken items and destroyed boxes. Never have I ever had to throw so many boxes away after a move. I have moved 4 times in the past 5 years so I know about good packing services. Always book with hireahelper.

After using Hire a Helper, we have learned that it is better off to hire a full-service mover directly. The help we hired was friendly, however the service they provided was less than desirable. I rented moving blankets so that they would wrap our furnishings. When our truck was re-delivered, the blankets were folded in the back of the truck, and what was wrapped, was done so loosely and ineffective. Many of our pieces were scratched and dented as a result. We also had an experience where the movers scratched/gouged our brand new hardwood floors. One of the movers started yelling at us, the other one told us that there was no insurance to cover it because we didn’t hire them directly. Hire a helper gave us 10 days to file a claim, we did not get a bid to repair our floors and time, therefore could not submit a claim. We have moved quite a bit, it was the first time we’ve ever had damaged during a move. Our lesson resulted in knowing in the future to hire a full-service moving company, as the repairs to our damages outweighed the savings of using the service.
