Hired Allstar to help with unloading POD container for recent move to Chicago apartment. Communication initially was good, and when I called twice to confirm date and time, phone was answered promptly and information was correct. However, on the day of the move communication seemed to fall apart. The first mover (Mike) who showed up was GREAT! He was friendly, professional and helpful. Then two other guys showed up who didn't even introduce themselves and didn't seem very interested in working with us. Then I started getting phone calls from the company asking me how many men were there to unload the POD. Then someone else called me asking if I needed him to show up. It was all quite chaotic and unnerving, given that most moving days are stressful enough. Ended up with a total of five men (instead of the contracted 3) and they were rushing to get everything out of the POD, not ensuring that moving blankets and wrap stayed in place to protect items, and just piling items in entry way instead of having a system to load and unload freight elevator in an organized fashion. It was a mess, furniture was damaged and soiled, and the afternoon was more stressful than it needed to be. I would not recommend this moving company.
