The guys did a great job, they were at the house 10 minutes early and hustled to get all of our things loaded into the 26' U-Haul we rented. They even left us with a tie down since we were short one. I highly recommend them.

When they (3 movers) first arrived the main person were nice at first, but about 30 minutes in the main person made me skeptical saying that all my stuff in my apartment wouldn’t fit in the U-Haul truck that I rented since I had too many boxes. I understand that I had too many boxes, but the heavier items for me were more important to be placed on the truck. It wasn’t my place to tell them how to move my items, but I didn’t understand by eyeballing some boxes that all my items wouldn’t fit in my truck without giving it a chance. I didn’t like that assure because they kept packing my truck with the boxes and not focusing on the heavier and bulkier items (mattress, dressers, entertainment stands, etc.). They also came unprepared. Luckily I had my personal tools and moving blankets for them to borrow to pack. Also, for some reason the main guy was rushing to load/move my stuff. I didn’t understand this. I paid for 3 hrs and why the rush? It felt like he had another personal commitment after my job. After the 1st hour into the job, the main person was stressing that 1 hr has already passed and he and his team was running out of time. I didn’t understand this at all. If you had something else to do, then why sign up to do my move? I honestly was very disappointed. The other two movers were nice and considerate. I will say that. If this person is the lead again, I honestly couldn’t use his help again.
I would like to start by apologizing for not meet your expectations. I take pride in all of the work I do, but this is a case of unrealistic expectations. You are correct, shortly after we were able to assess the situation it was quite obvious you have to much stuff for the size of the truck. So as a professional I wanted to make sure you were aware and get an understanding of what needed to be prioritized. Now considering how much stuff you had, in order to fit as much as possible, it is necessary to integrate the load, so yes, we did pack boxes as well as the larger items. If you remember correctly, we got all of the large items and furniture except a small press board nightstand, about a dozen boxes. In total, you had about 80-100 boxes, along with many items of furniture, and only a 17' Uhaul truck.
Now to address this comment about being unprepared. Per your hireahelper agreement, you were going out of town, which means you are required to provide blankets for your furniture. I have my own pads, however you do not get to take those with you when you leave. My pads are available for in town use and I take them back with me at the end of the day. Additionally, you did not have any ropes or ties downs. I GAVE you one of my own after you made the comment that you shouldn't have to pay for a ratchet strap. We come fully equipped for all jobs with dollies, rope, straps, and blankets, and basic hand tools. Your job was no exception.
Now addressing your comment on the time management, if you recall, you were only on site for maybe half of the job. You left your father to supervise and when it came to a point when I needed to ask you questions I had to have him relay them. There was a point where we needed more padding and we had to pause because we were waiting on you be bringing us some, so I asked your father when would you be back. It is not a matter of rushing, it's simply a matter of time management. When you order 3 hours I try my best to meet that goal and as a matter of fact we did. Not to mention I do generally have other jobs lined up as we try to work as much as possible, that is of course how me make a living.
So as you can see this is a matter of unrealistic expectations. We are professional movers, not miracle workers. I cannot make something shrink in size and I cannot increase the amount of space you have provided. As this is your first time using professional movers, I understand if you don't understand. However, I know that we did a great job even your father said so himself. Nothing was damaged, we got all of the large/heavy items, and almost all of your boxes. Overall I am quite surprised by this negative review, but nonetheless, we appreciate your business.

Chuck and Timothy did a great job. I had used Chuck and Durran two weeks earlier, and they great too. Respectful and did all requested in timely fashion, yet carefully. I had several heavy, bulky items too. Yes, would use and refer also.
