The movers arrived ahead of time, were unfazed when a snare developed, and completed the job efficiently, pleasantly, and in good order. An excellent outfit, I would certainly use them again.

Our Team arrived on time and ready to go. They brought the supplies that were stated on the website. Team was very polite and energetic. We were disappointed with the process of packing the truck. A desk that was trying to be packed into the truck was broken beyond repair. The person packing the truck expected us to just screw the fiberboard desk together but we he failed to show me was the damage to the rest of the piece until we arrived at our new destination. We do expect dings and dents but not totally trashed. As we were getting ready to leave our old place we noticed that they had also scratched the entry door of our complex and we don't even know if we will be charged for it. The Owner did square up with me but not to the value of the desk I feel that he could have done more. We will not use there services again.

Our movers showed up on time. They came and reviewed all the items that needed to be moved. One of the movers immediately began complaining, despite the fact that every piece of furniture was itemized in the initial request we sent in. I know they did not read the request because we heard more complaints upon telling the movers where the furniture would be unloaded. They were under the mistaken impression that they were supposed to load the furniture but not unload it at the house we were moving to.
The movers were minimally competent, but slow. My brother and I helped move much of the furniture, and we were moving at a noticeably faster pace than the movers. Overall, however, the entire job only took a half hour longer than expected.
They were less than careful when unloading the furniture, which led to some damage to a bar we had them move. They also took some furniture apart but failed to put it together once it was moved.
We gave them two stars because they got the job done a little slower than we would have liked, and they were not very careful when unloading furniture.

The guys were on time, polite and very prepared for the job. Although the job was generally simple, they worked hard to get me moved in the allotted time. I would highly recommend them again.

We hired Rent A Helping Hand for a move two weekends ago for 11 am. They confirmed twice before the move day. And that's where the positives ended.
At 11 am, I got a phone call from the owner that the movers were running late by about 2 to 3 hours. Three hours later, with no response, I called the owner. No answer. I called one of his employees who told me that they had been scheduled for a move almost 2 hours away and were running another hour late.
An hour later, I got a call from some other guy who told me that the owner had asked him to "bail him out" because his original guys couldn't make. And that he would be there at 6 pm! And he also implied that he had done moves all the time.
The owner with whom we booked never called again!
The guy showed up with his two nephews! To their credit, they got the job done...at midnight! But movers they were not! They put the stuff in the truck randomly, did not know how to plan or stage anything. The result being that my entire family had to get involved in the loading and unloading process.
To add more misery to an already stressful day, I find out from these guys that Rent A Helping Hand had called him the day or two before asking him to help on this job. And that this is the third time he had been asked to bail him out.
So, in summary, I hired an insured, licensed company. They confirmed the appointment with me twice, probably knowing they had a conflict, then didn't show up, nor ever called to check up on things...and instead, sent a guy with his two nephews 7 hours late!
I have given nothing but five stars on this site for the past three years for other moves, so I am not the nit picking type. I value that people show up on time or be up front with me when they can't. My worst criticism (out of many) is the completely unprofessional way Rent A Helping Hand handled communicating with me. I still can't get over the fact that the owner bothered not to even call me once beyond the 11 am point when he knew this his order was falling apart.

Very accommodating. Our pod came late and they adjusted the schedule according to our needs. They were very friendly and did a fantastic job. The owner also came and assisted when needed. I would definitely use them again!

I had an extremely bad experience, not because of the service which was okay, but because of what happened when the men were done. I knew there would be extra cost because the job went over by two hours. But when the man in charge told me I owed him $120 IN CASH I was stunned. The arrangement was that this would all be charged to a credit card --THERE WAS NEVER ANY MENTION OF PAYING BY CASH! I am a retired older woman, currently unemployed, who counts every penny in order to get by. My son was paying for this move for me by credit card. The cash tath I had to hand over at the end of this move was nearly all the money I had in this world until the next social security check which is not for 3 weeks!! So all the good work that the men did was undone for me by this demand. If I had not been so exhausted from the moving and all that is involved, I would have fought it on the spot. But he insisted it was Cash Only!
I would like to request that the cash be returned to me and the original credit card be charged.
The men did a good, if incomplete job. Beds and other furniture were not re-assembled which was a problem for me because I am an older woman. They were all very pleasant to work with.
