Relocation with Enhanced Moving and Storage, LLC
Tucson local moving company founded and ran by students at the University of Arizona. Our crew began moving together for various other companies during our freshman year. Three years later, we are seniors and know what customers want out of their movers. We are new to HireAHelper, however, we collaborated to found Enhanced Moving and Storage, LLC in February of 2021 and have since serviced over 4000 customers. The arrival window was between 1-2pm. I initially received no confirmation that the movers were coming. I sent a text to Chris at 1:10pm for some insight. At 1:22pm, because I hadn’t received a text back, I attempted to call and was sent to voicemail. It was then that I received what I imagine was an automated text about how Chris was at another job site, that he’d return my call ASAP. In the meantime, my mom had called the number listed on Google and was told movers would potentially be arriving be 1-2pm. She expressed that it didn’t seem like the person on the other end of the line was aware they had a job, that one of us would receive a call back.
At1:39 I was called to see if a dolly would be needed. I said one could be brought. I received another call that the movers had arrived at 1:59pm. There was no dolly brought. Only 2/3 movers showed.
My mom and I had started moving small items into the truck before their arrival, creating a path to the larger items, in case those needed to be stored first. The movers rearranged what had already been placed in the truck and got to work on the remaining items. All the while, backhanded comments were being made to/from one of the workers, items were being dropped, Jen’ items were being hit into the walls… My mom and I had to assist stabilizing the cart for the movers.
I got ahold of HireAHelper when the movers first showed and explained only 2/3 hires came. They got in contact with Chris who said he’d try to see if an additional guy could come out. The movers finished loading my storage unit into the truck with about 30 min to spare, so we requested they move a mattress (I was giving my mom) into her neighboring storage unit. Within 30 min, they were done. By the end of my two hours, the last mover hasn’t showed. I got in contact with HireAHelper again and requested some sort of adjustment. About $77 was deducted from my bill.
Did the job get done? Yes, but it wasn’t without frustration. I went based off of the reviews (points, didn’t actually start reading them until the day of, after 1pm). The most recent review prior to me mentioned a NCNS…
Additionally, it would be nice if the movers had t-shirts with the company name on them.
TLDR: 2/3 movers arrived 1 min before arrival window closed. My mom and I had to get in contact with them to figure out if they’d be showing. Items were dropped and hit along walls. Unprofessional comments were made between works. HireAHelper assisted in getting me partially refunded. Do better research than I did.
RE: Started unpacking and multiple items are damaged. My dining sets are chipped/broken. My end table is messed up as well.

The crew arrived later than scheduled due to earlier job taking more time than expected. Noah left a voice message and followed up with another call to update arrival. Wyatt and Noah arrived as expected. Unloaded an 8' PODS in just about an hour. Hard workers and efficient.
Second time using Hire-A-Helper. Will use there service again. Christopher Gonzales provides great customer service.

They were later than the window I selected but communicated they would be. Unloaded a 3 bedroom U-Haul in 50 minutes with a 4 man crew. Highly recommend them.

A call with an accurate ETA followed by our arrival and getting right to work!
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
If it can fit into a box, pack it in one! This is the safest option for smaller items during transit. Also, keeping walkways as open as possible for us to carry/dolly your furniture/boxes to the truck definitely speeds up the job!
What types of moves have you handled?
We've tackled local moves, interstate moves, single-item deliveries, heavy furniture moves on the same property, load-only and unload-only jobs, and even a handful of just furniture assembly jobs!
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Moving gets hectic and stressful. We love being movers because we get to take a load of stress off of our customers backs with our quick, efficient service and our flexibility with scheduling.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our movers are trained on packing/stacking boxes and furniture in trucks in a manner that is safe for transit. Additionally, we teach them various techniques to leverage use of equipment such as various types of dollies, forearm straps, and tie-downs.
