They did a bad job of utilizing the pod space and broke my refrigerator. Took one of the doors off then dropped it, ripping the wires out. I had to hire someone to fix it.

I did not know that Hire A Helper contracted their work or I would have gone directly to the provider. However the provider was horrible. They were over 2 hours late, worked slowly, did not follow my requests, talked on their phones, stood around and talked to each other, did not know how to load efficiently. Definitely NOT professionals. I would not use this service again.

I had problems with their service.
1. They came late which I would have been ok with if the following didn't happen.
2.They didn't come prepared with the right tools. They took 30 minutes just to disconnect my fridge, for which I had to go borrow a wrench.
3. They dropped my fridge and washer while taking it to my container. I am hoping they aren't damaged. I will find out when it gets unloaded into my new house later this week.
4. They did a poor job of putting my things in the container. They said the container was full and then left. After they left, my friends and I made more room in there to add more things. We were able to fit a lot more things (boxes etc) after they left. If I was going to have to do the work myself, what did I pay for?
5. I had to go get a truck and load myself to take the rest of the items to storage. If I had known all of this was going to happen, I would have hired my previous professional movers who would have come with a truck and the proper equipment.
Either these two "kids" were not trained, in which case they need to get proper training. I could have done a much better job loading the truck myself but the appliances and furniture was too heavy for me.
This is by far the worst moving service I have ever used and I have been moving a lot over my lifetime.
Honestly speaking, I should get my money back but hopefully this will at least encourage them to get training before they continue their services.

The movers were 2 hours late. One of the movers had car trouble’s and couldn’t make it at all. The mover that did show up brought his girlfriend to help. They were super nice and tried hard however she really was not capable of lifting some of the furniture, and it was clear she had no experience moving. The two movers were very respectful, however I would not use this company again, mainly because the person coordinating on the phone was rude and poor communication. I really did not receive the service I paid for. I paid for 2 movers and at best one and a half. I had help way more then I had planned on.

I am torn between four stars and two stars. I hired two workers and only one showed up. The one who showed up (Shawn) was excellent. But without the help of my son, I would have been in a pickle in dealing with the large heavy items.

Fast and reliable service, due to covid all our crew wear mask and gloves during the move for everyone safety. And when you book with expect a call or text message within the hour of you booking.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
You will receive 5 star customer service and a crew that will work hard to get your move done in the time you booked. We also have very polite and honest crews that will go above and beyond to assist you throughout the entire process.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
For moving day we ask all customers to have items ready to be loaded or unloaded. If you have to pack during the move it may take extra time and extend your move past your previous booked time.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have done over 300 moves to date in all different aspects of moving. There's not a move we will not be prepared for and have not done.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We love being able to help customers in a time of need and to make the moving process alot simpler and smoother.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We provide our crew with a two day training where we teach our way to pack and wrap furniture but also how to pack pods and trucks.
