WARNING: I received a threatening text message from Eric because he was unhappy with my review. I would not feel safe using or recommending his services. ----------
The service started out fine but the lead guy tossed his trash in the back of my pick up truck. There was a garbage bin on the other side of the parking lot that he could have used and I let him use the bathroom twice so he could have put his garbage in my trash can. Nope, instead he left it littered on both sides of my truck bed. A bag with an open food container and other trash on one side and an empty can on the other side of the truck bed. I guess he didn’t notice the camera I had pointed at my truck from the dinning room window. *smh*

UPDATE: This move occurred in Las Vegas and my U-Pack storage cube was brought here from Dallas by ABF who did a great job. See my responses to Eric's comments below:
1) There was trash on BOTH sides of the bed of my truck. Again, he came into my apartment twice to use the bathroom and also used my kitchen sink to wash his hands. The bag left was full of trash and should have been tossed in the trash can on the other side of the parking lot or in my condo. There is no excuse for leaving trashing in someone's truck bed or in the parking lot.
2) I had a U-Pack cube that was at the ABF storage facility which I need help loading into a Uhaul followed by an unload of the Uhaul at my condo. I was able to get ABF to deliver the U-Pack cube to my condo so I only needed an unload. Eric accepted the request when it was both a load and an unload. I contacted him 36hrs before the move to let him know I only needed an unload because the U-Pack cube was being delivered. to by condo.
3) Eric asked me to reschedule my Thursday afternoon move to Friday morning between 8am and 9am because of the heat and a prior commitment he had. I agreed to this and contact Hire-a-helper to make the change to the schedule. Eric said he would arrive at 8am but his actual arrival time was 8:45am and his coworker arrived shortly after 9am. This was not an issue for me but since Eric mentioned his arrival time in his response I wanted to address it.
4) Eric asked me to approve and pay for the move on Thursday, a day ahead of the Friday move date so that he could get payment earlier. I would not agree to this because the service had not been performed and I did not feel comfortable releasing payment early. Perhaps this is why I was gifted with open food containers in the bed of my truck.
I have no idea who this HOOD RAT is From CHICAGO who booked me to harass me. We unloaded 1 futon and a bunch of bags up 2 flights of stairs in 105 degree heat. We arrived in the scheduled window 8:00am - 9:00am. The order was altered 24 hours before the move and she was advised to have me come the day after the Cube was dropped.... Not the same day. She seems to have fell on Hard Times and is taking her frustrations out on Me. 15 YEARS I been on Hire A Helper and Never Ecountered a Trouble Maker Like This. Literally going off about a Tiny Smiths Bag ........ Reaching for Something to Complain about. This Business attracts A lot of Haters and Sabatours. My Company (855)RID-JUNK is being launched in 40 States.... Soon I won't have to be subjected to this kind of Abuse Anymore.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Relief & professionalism. They also can expect to get more items in their POD or Pack-rat / Rental Truck than they expected. They should expect to save a bunch of money on PODS and the Amount of PODS they need to move.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
A Early arrival & communication. A day %100 dedicated to getting their job done in a efficient time with no damages or mistakes.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Make sure you have blankets! If you are renting a POD or Pack-Rat Be sure to tell them to throw 1-2 dozen blankets in the container before its delivered. Most of the time they don't even charge you. Also gather any washable blankets , sheets or towels we can use for protection... This way you don't have to break the bank on blankets. We also have started to use Boxes from Home depot. Lowes or Walmart. We can cut the boxes open and use them for TV crating, protection of Glass & Surfaces for stacking.
What types of moves have you handled?
NYC jewelry store to LA, NYC home building associations , residential moves, Las Vegas Convention Center (Santee Cosmetics), Oz mannequins + Commercial Appliance Moves. I also moved Rosie O'donnel & Michelle Rounds & many other celebs.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
New scenery & meeting cool. interesting nice people.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We watch you tube moving self help videos to stay fresh & consider new techniques to add to our skill sets. We also stretch daily & incorporate cardio into our lives to stay conditioned.
