The team arrived early and was ready to go to work. I showed them the items that were being packed in the moving container and they quickly began moving items to the container. Tim and Barry were respectful of my home and very careful with all of my furniture and belongings. Knowing my belongings were traveling over 300 miles, they took the time to pack and re-pack the storage container a few times to make sure that everything was very secure and would not move around. I highly recommend Smooth Moves and I only wish they were also located in Maine as well so I could use them to help me unpack at my new home.

Though they were flexible in adjusting our time/day, they did not communicate well on the day of our move. They were to show up between 3-4pm. I reached out to them ~3pm and was told they'd be late. They arrived at 5pm after text updates suggesting they would be earlier. The good: they were strong and able to move large/heavy furniture. The bad: they were rude/loud/not friendly, didn't listen to requests to protect our furniture, packed the PODs poorly (leaving huge gaps), scratched our wood floors, left energy drink bottles outside our home, didn't use rope as they promised saying we didn't need them, had to beg them to use the furniture pads we purchased, were stingy with the shrink wrap they said was part of the service. After about 4.5 hrs they declared we were out of space and should have ordered more PODs. After they left, my husband packed in additional items in the massive gaps they left.
It was not a smooth move. I do not recommend them unless you want to supervise every move they make and tell them how to pack the POD. I am certain that when we unpack at our destination that we will have damages to our items due to their lack of PODS packing prowess. AVOID!!!

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
First if pre- packing items up pls make sure that it fragile items are security pack and wrap individually and labeled on the box as fragile and that every box or item is labeled with which room you would like that particular box item or piece of furniture. That makes for a smoothmove

We are big on the little things which leads to being able to successfully handle the bigger moves. How to treat ever move as if it was our owe move to a new home or office. Paying attention to the all detials makes for a smooth move
