Didn't show up for three-hour appointment to unload two PODS. No one answered the office phone. Hire-a-Helper finally reached them via text, which prompted them to send a "backup" team. Two guys arrived with no tools, even though we requested help reassembling furniture. They borrowed a screwdriver from us, then struggled to attach a table top to its base. When I called P.O.G. to express concern, Tim said, "What's the problem?" And after I called Hire-a-Helper, Tim told the two backup guys to walk off our job. Terrible experience all around.

Mover's response:
When customers constantly reschedule and then are non responsive they do not remain at the top of the list. When customer finally acknowledged that they were there, that pods were there we then sent a team immediately. Customer is upset because, as a courtesy by customer request, the team assembled a table before completing the unload and not pull their own tools from their car. The customer had a wrench and a screwdriver sitting on counter and my team had the nerve to ask to use it. customer was rude, hostile and unreasonable.. This job is hard enough to NOT have to deal with that. I did remove my team from the abuse and will do so again.

They did not have any tools.

We had no dolly? We had no straps? we had no furniture dolly? we had no pads (customer refused)? Customer had all furniture unassembled so we did not provide our toolbag. Of course we had our tools. Some sour grapes customers just have spite in their heart when we come to work and not hold hands

Jay and Marquis arrived on time and did an outstanding job. They worked very hard and we're most respectful of us and our property. We would highly recommend them and if we needed help again we would definitely request them. It was a p!easure to have Jay and Marquis in our home.

WE are a Niche Famiily Movers- We do not sub contract and we work very hard to provide service customers need and deserve

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

your move team contacts you 30-40 minutes prior to arrival. Time starts upon arrival- not before. Your Team lead is an expiernced mover and your move team is a vetted and trained moving team

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Boxes, boxes and more boxes. Have your items ready for load. Larger items and furniture we will manage when on site

What types of moves have you handled?

From next door to the house around the block to interstate moves to each of the 48 contiguous states & Cananda. Then somewhere in between too,

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

The customers, every day iis new and different. getting to know someone even under the most stressful of times and having a commonality during this time

What training do you provide your crew members?

Training, training, review and training, Monthly training meetings

We charge an extra 20% for same day requests.

Next Day Moves

We accept next day requests at our normal rates.

Refunding Unused Time

We refund up to one unused hour over our min..

Extra Hours

We can always stay at least 1 hour over the prebooked time.

Use of up to 1 bolt Professional Grade Shrink Wrap, for those drawers, doors and cabinets to avoid nicks and dings, ($25.00/ea.)
