Individual movers were excellent, very quick job and did exceedingly well on the pack. Among the top 2 I have ever used you can trust their guys.
Estimate was Way off. Pack out was projected at 3 hours and they did it in one. Wouldn’t be an issue except that Hire A Helper books them for a fixed time amount and there’s no adjustment resulting in an extra 120 bucks for a third hour that I can’t get back. Not sure who’s responsible for that but I didn’t really appreciate it since that’s money I could use towards a tip or something to recognize the actual workers. I will probably shop around a quote next time.

Previously, I have worked with a number of Hired Helpers in Pennsylvania. They were all good groups. In the past 10 days, I engaged the services of Second Movers who operate under the Hired Helpers umbrella in North Carolina. In this time frame, three different teams were assigned to my three days of work. Amazingly, there was not a single person who did not pull his/her weight. They texted me that they were on the way, they arrived shortly BEFORE their actual time started, and they spent every single minute moving my furniture and other items out of PODS and into my new home which is up a 13-step flight of stairs. Moreover, they were very polite, very anxious to do whatever exactly as I wanted, and generally, very pleasant to be around. I could not have asked for 6 more highly responsible people to be sent to help me. I am a fan with a shoutout to Dawson, Leon, Jennifer, and crew. Great Job!!

Movers were late. Start time was supposed to be 9:00 am. I received a text roughly this time saying two were onsite. They were not and I responded with that information. I received a response that they had stopped at Wendy's to go to restroom. First person to arrive was 3rd resource, who arrived at 9:20 am. Initial two did not arrive until 9:30 am. All three were still eating breakfast as arrived. They had no equipment, although not essential to this move. Most of work was done by two of the movers (the 1st to arrive and one of the other two.) The third person struggled to figured out how to be helpful. Finished up about 2 hours and 20 minutes from actual start time. On the whole, the goods got unloaded okay. However, this crew was mediocre compared to the crew we had that did the original loading, as they were seriously outstanding.
