I recommend them without reservation. They called with a 1 hour window of arrival the night before and arrive within that window. They were highly professional and very efficient. We hired them to load a POD and they were experts at doing so. They came with needed equipment and finished in a timely fashion. I would hire them again in a NY second.

The experience with MD Expert Movers has been excellent so far; we have two 16' PODS being loaded, one was already loaded and the next one will be loaded shortly. The only issue we have concerning the 1st load is the helpers did not tie/strap off any of the load, even though the site says they will bring rope with them specifically for this task.

The movers were on time and worked hard to get the job done. They were very attentive and worked well with what I asked of them. This was a temporary housing move and I hope to use them again when I move in to my permanent housing.

I hired MD Expert Movers because of their stated experience with loading storage containers. I had a 1-bedroom apartment that needed to be packed into a 1-800-PACK-RAT container. Both HireAHelper and MD Expert Movers recommended two helpers for two hours. The helpers showed up on time and were very professional; however, it took them SIX hours to load the storage container. Plus, they just barely fit everything into the container, even though I expressed several times to them my concern that not everything would fit and pointed out certain items that should be saved for last, just in case they didn't fit. Not only that, but they didn't start with the mattress, as all the moving/packing websites recommended. They saved the mattress for last, and it almost didn't fit. That would have been a huge problem. But taking six hours to load the container was completely unacceptable. I had reserved one of my building's elevators for a 4-hour window. Another tenant was moving out the same day and was completely inconvenienced by the fact that I still had the elevator locked down. Plus, the rest of the building's tenants were inconvenienced as well. MD Expert Movers clearly should have provided three helpers, rather than two. They obviously needed someone to stay with the container and strategize the packing, while the other two brought down items from the apartment. It was poorly executed. I later tried to call MD Expert Movers to complain, but the cell phone number (the only number I had for them) was disconnected. I waited another week and tried again and was finally able to reach someone. After explaining my dissatisfaction, I asked for a partial refund, which they agreed to after checking with the owner (which took another 24 hours). They said they would mail me a check. After two weeks went by and I didn't have the check, I had to take time out of my day to call them and follow up. I did eventually receive the check, another couple of days later. All in all, MD Expert Movers was a lot of hassle. I would not hire them again.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The movers will give you a call when they are approximately 15 minutes away during your 1-hour arrival window. All of our crews will come prepared with tools for furniture assembly/disassembly, as well as hand trucks, dollies, industrial shrink wrap and rope. This equipment is included in your reservation; there is no additional fee for these basic items.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Moving preparations are often underway well before your moving date - decluttering, boxing, labeling, etc. Our favorite tip is for your moving day. After the crew arrives, take a few minutes upfront to show them all of your items. This way, our team can customize loading your container, storage area, or truck efficiently and safely.
What types of moves have you handled?
We specialize in loading/unloading PODS, PackRat, ABF trailers/containers, and Door-to-Door services. MD Expert Movers isn't limited to household goods though.
