I used a POD to move from Pennsylvania to Florida. The container did a good job keeping the elements out. The drivers were helpful and friendly. It took 10 days for my container to arrive which included 2 weekends and Memorial Day. I think this was a little on the slow side, but all my stuff arrived the undamaged and appeared the same as I packed it which I was very pleased to see. They gave me three hour windows for both delivery and pick up and arrived towards the beginning of the window each time which was also appreciated. All in all it was a good experience.
PODS should inform the customers that some areas are only serviced sporadically. Because Clarksville area is only serviced on Tuesday and Thursday, I had to change my departure date to accommodate PODS around their schedule, not mine. Then, again because they only service Clarksville 2 days a week, the empty unit has been in my driveway for more than 10 days.
First part meaning container delivery, movers and container pick up was great. I was extremely impressed with the entire process: timely, effective, no mess. The problem occured with my container delivery to my new place. I was given wrong information about delivery requirement, then one hour into waiting for the container I was contacted by the rudest person ever telling me the delivery was rescheduled in two days which was unaccetable for me. Eventually she managed to reschedule the delivery for the following day but there was no apology for her initial behaviour. If not for her, I'd recommend PODS wholeheartedly.
Very happy with pods and service. Only thing I would have liked is for someone to personally come to the house an give use a better idea how many or how big the pods we needed. Had to change from a 7 ft container to a 16 ft at last minute. Thank goodness we do other wise we wouldn't have had enough room.
It was fine. This move was a bit different than most in that I was not sure of my exact move-to address and when I would be unpacking. The services worked well for my needs. I was frustrated in the limited availability for pick-up and drop-off for the PODS container. Additionally, I could not get a 3 hr delivery window until 6 pm the evening before moving day. This resulted in challenges with scheduling movers. Overall a minor inconvenience, but the container was delivered at 6am and movers arrived at 4pm. Having the ability to schedule a 3 hr window 24 hrs out or even by 3pm the day before would resolve this issue.
It was great working with pods. The only complaint I have is that as a customer you are unable to schedule the time when your pod is delivered and picked up. You aren't notified until the evening prior when the pod will be delivered/picked up and they only give you a 3 hour window. This made things very difficult for us to be able to hire movers at the appropriate time.
