Both of the men were doing a careful and well organized job of moving and packing up the moving truck. They were courteous and kind and finished just a little over the two hours we requested. I would use them again in the future if I needed another job.

the boys were wonderful! i could not have asked for more! Thank you so much.

The two men we hired performed extremely well. They were real pros moving very heavy furniture up and down stairs with minimal damage to walls.

UPDATE - REDUCED RATING:
Allegedly, the moving company claims this was a “misunderstanding.” The moving company did not intend to charge me 2.5 hours. This is simply untrue! The movers called their boss to say they were done at 7:00 PM. I overheard the mover explaining how I said to stop but there was stuff remaining. The mover then hung up and stated, “if I had help moving the big stuff and left small stuff behind, I would be happy.” The mover said I will get a call but I did not. So the mover got Hire-A-Helper on their phone and put it on speakerphone and said, “here she is.” While the mover held HIS phone on SPEAKERPHONE, hire-a-helper announced the working hours from 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM. The movers and Vicky’s company clearly knew what hours were charged. BEWARE!
I scheduled an 2-hours unloading job (1-bedroom) for same-day arrival from 8-9 PM. They called me at 3:30 PM and asked about arriving earlier at 4:45 PM, and I agreed that was fine. I let them know I still needed to get the keys to my apartment and sign lease agreement. He said it was fine and that Kevin and Carlos would arrive for the job. I thought since I was flexible to accommodate their schedule that if I had a delay, they would do the same and bill the 2 hours worked only since they are arriving earlier then reservation. Well that was not the case. I signed the lease and got the keys to my apartment but found some odors, stained wood, and missing wood that appeared as water damage needing more repairs. I immediately called moving company and let them know if they need to do another job that is fine but right now I need to try to resolve this immediately before moving in. They explained that they were going to have to cancel since it’s a third-party site but would try to explain this to avoid a cancellation. I asked about are they going to charge me the entire amount or is it a refund to reapply and schedule for tomorrow. He said well the workers showed up though. I said well there was a cancellation fee amount not the entire amount. He said that was what he was allegedly trying to warn me about. I pleaded for just some more time to work this out with the property before calling to do anything and he agreed. I didn’t want to engage in two (2) disputes - property and movers. But I wanted to say I booked from 8-9 PM and I tried to accommodate your schedule because you didn’t want to do a late night job. Now if I had gone with the late night job as I booked, I would not need to be begging for you not to cancel and just give me sometime to resolve and proffered going to work on another job. It’s was obvious I had a 16 ft truck that was gonna be unloaded, it was just about being on their time I guess. I continued to dispute with the leasing office - I have demanded to speak to the Senior Regional Property Manager and we met 10 minutes later. The moving company and movers continue to call but if I don’t resolve the apartment matter, there’s nothing I can say to the movers. The property and I dispute the habitability until they send me to view another property. The movers later explained that they thought they saw me and spoke to the leasing office who informed them I was looking at another unit (I guess because I looked frantic and frustrated). Finally, I get another apartment for the same price, sign another agreement, and grab the keys. It’s 5:30 PM that we started unloading. According to movers, they arrived at 4:30 PM. I called moving company to ask about how we would handle billing. I was told well workers arrived so 4:30 - 6:30 is billing but we can make it work. I said I don’t want to pay more than 2 hours so I will just stop them wherever they are at 6:30 PM. Well he said he would call at 6:30 PM to check to see how much was done that it shouldn’t take too long. I saw it was 6:10 PM and said we are stopping at 6:30 PM. I explained to the movers that I loaded this entire 16 ft truck by myself (I am a female). The only item I asked someone to help me with was the mattress because it has spring, foam, and padding topper (not heavy just very bulky and hard to grip firmly). I told them that’s all I needed from the truck. They insisted to grab more. I gave them 2 small recliners and moved 3 tall wooden items. I then walked my loaded dolly to the freight elevator. They were still bringing more items like the collapsible bed frame and wanted to stop to reorganize the freight elevator. I said no, leave the bed frames out and ride the elevator up. I watched as the time approached 6:30 PM and knew they got me. As expected, the mattress was the last item to exit the freight elevator. They called to report an 7:00 PM completion (although it was like 6:48 PM he explained they round up). So the job was 4:30 - 7:00 PM, which includes an extra 30 mins. They never started until 5:30 PM. I completed the entire truck after movers left by 8:30 PM so I could return it to Penske. Overall, these workers understand the system very well.

Great crew. These guys knew what they were doing. They wasted no time. I'm very grateful they were my crew. I had gone through so much and it was a relief to have some like them.

Kevin and Harris were great and worked really hard! We had packaged everything up and prepared for them to come so they spent the 2 hours just moving the heavy things for us. Great job!

All three were incredibly helpful and did an amazing job. I could not have asked for a better crew. Very timely and efficient. They had no problems with any of the items and took very good care of everything we had to move.
