The movers from Get UP and Go were ten minutes early to start the job. They came with all the support equipment (dollies, carts, etc.) they needed. Both Josh and Andrew were very diligent in their work. They were fast but very careful with my things. They took the extra time to additionally wrap fragile items and ensured everything was packed securely in the POD. I was very impressed with the quick and careful service. I would definitely use Get Up and Go again for any moving needs I have.

Everything went better than expected. The guys showed up on time, and sent a text to expect their arrival so I could meet them at the loading dock. Their boss even sent a text to make sure they were on time and doing a satisfactory job.
They moved all the items quickly and efficiently, following all of our instructions (which made unpacking that much easier). They finished in the 2 hour time period we scheduled so we didn't have to pay any overage fees, which is nice to see these days. They even doubled checked to make sure we were completely satisfied with everything before they left.
Also, no dings to our furniture/boxes or scratches on the walls even as they moved quickly through the job.
I would recommend them to any friends that are moving in the DC area.

I had a great experience with Get Up and Go Movers. First of all I had to reschedule my move 3 times and they were very understanding and willing to accomodate me. They were a little late due to traffic, but that's understandable for a friday afternoon in rush hour traffic. Although I was moving in the same complex, I still had quite a bit of stuff that had to be moved from the 3rd floor of one building to the 3rd floor of another building. The two workers worked fast and efficient. I would recommend their services.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
I am typically on jobs during the day so it is easier for me to text new clients. If I don't hear back then I will give them a call as soon as I am available.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
I'd like to think we are fun and hard working bunch of guys. We enjoy this type of work and you'll notice that our attitude are mostly positive.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Make sure everything is packed and ready to go. Label every boxes and mark anything that is fragile. If there isn't plenty of street parking, reserve adequate space for moving truck or storage containers.
What types of moves have you handled?
We offer residential and commercial, for both local and long distance move.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Meeting new people and going to new places on a daily basis.
What training do you provide your crew members?
I have about 25 years experience in this industry and I personally train every crew members until I am confident they can go out on jobs without me.
