If you need a helper, ask a friend. If you need movers, hire a real moving company! I called HireAHelper because they advertise 24/7 service. I asked for helpers who were supposed to be there at 9:30 am. They called and said they were running late and would be there at 11:00 am. Before they finally arrived at 12:30, I received a call from HireAHelper and he said he had found a third guy. I thought because they were so late that they were throwing in the third guy since I had only asked for two. When they
finally arrived, I could immediately tell the third guy didn't have much moving experience. The other two kept up a good pace, but not as fast as you would want someone you're paying to move. They came ill prepared and used my shelves on wheels to move boxes because "it was quicker." During the move, one of a pair of Chinese Fishbowls I've had for over 20 years got broken. A desk I've also had for over 20 years got a box with leaking window cleaner placed on it and it's now ruined. The movers went over the allowed time by an hour, so I was charged extra. If that wasn't bad enough, I was actually charged for the third man. To make matters worse, I was charged for stairs, even though there was an elevator available that they used 99.99% of the time. I called HireAHelper to complain, and was told to called Holland Real Estate Services. A call to them was completely useless and utterly incoherent. I was told I needed to talk to HireAHelper. Needless to say, I never heard back from either company. So again, my advice -- if you need a helper, call a friend. If you need a mover, hire a real moving company. I'll never HireAHelper again!

They showed up on time and were very professional! I was honestly a bit surprised at how fast a crew of 3 managed to unload a single apartment storage unit and put it in the truck. Totally worth the price, would use them again.

I was very pleased. They have one fella that designed the game TETRIS ha ha. He can fit a 1500 sq ft house safely in a 7’ container.... On a serious note, they were professional. Called to keep me informed of their location and their boss called to make sure they got in touch with me and arrived.
You pay the first two hours then each hour after is extra. They worked their @ss off. They didn’t just sit around the first two hours then started working.
They had matching working shirts so that was nice to see.
One thing the owner can help them with; provide more moving equipment options.

The men took the straps off of my husbands Snap On tool box and we told them Do NOT unhook the box! We didn’t think we had to check their work step by step well long story short the toolbox had to be transported further and slid all over the truck and is so damaged and the answer from the boss James is I don’t know what you want me to say!!! WHAT!!! No, I will take care of the repairs or no credit for what was paid NOTHING!! The guys that loaded the truck in New York were great but the end result of these guys I don’t recommend calling on them! Now I have to go to court!!!

My crew from HRES did great work. I hired a 3-man crew for 4 hrs on a Sunday. I was concerned finding someone who would work on Sunday but Holland came through. I docked a star because they went to my destination home first, before correcting and going to my loading home. Fortunately the error only took 30 min, and I was not charged for it. The crew worked hard for all 4 hours and got everything securely to my new home and into my 3-floor townhome without damage to furniture or walls. I would hire them again.
