Way cheaprer than anywhere else - and easy to work with!

Highly recommend UBS U-Pack. They are economical and incredibly reliable and easy to deal with. Note - I only used 20 linear feet but I did not transport all bedroom sets, family room furniture, etc. If it were a whole house move of 5 BRs and 2,200 square feet, I could easily see using the entire 28'.

U-Pack delivered the trailer on time at the origination address clean and ready to be loaded. Delivery to the final destination was delayed for reasons not in their control and they were quick to alert me about the delay. The drivers at both locations were able to navigate tight turns and placed the trailer - empty and full - right where directed.

Driver shortage made scheduling a bit difficult

Your web site says "NO HIDDEN FEES" yet you say “storage charges are separate.” To me that’s a hidden fee. That’s a HUGE fee for our changing the delivery destination from Sarasota to Naples. Your quoted us at $5797 to Sarasota and then the price went to $6539 to deliver to Naples, FL. The $900 storage fee was NOT Included in the initial cost. We paid $1800 for storage. That is a “hidden fee.”

We had some problems with locating a ramp in time for the movers to use (did not initially come with the truck), and I was told there would be no problem in the trailer arriving by a certain date (12 business days after it was picked up), but I learned the day before that there was a delay. The trailer arrived two days after the initial date, but fortunately I was able to get my unloaders to shift to the new schedule. The staff in Portland were great in helping solve the problems and getting the trailer to me, but the overall experience was difficult.

Unfortunately, the trailer was delivered to my house on a windy day and the empty trailer blew over in my driveway! No damage and the towing company was great. Rick's Towing

We kept switching back and forth between a cube or the trailer. We finally decided on the trailer and I'm glad we did. We knew everything we wanted was going to fit so no last moments of " it won't fit, now what". They drop the trailer off at your location and pick it up in 3 days ( can ask for more). Arranging the trailer was simple and the customer service was great. They then take you possession to new location. Since I was moving to a small town, many of the other companies wouldn't take out things to the final destination, This company will drop it off where it is needed. You also only pay for the space you use. Arranging drop off and pick up was easy and they send you messages to keep you updated. I would use them again

Trailer was clean and neat and the feet clearing marked on the inside of the trailer. Driver was very efficient and parked the trailer where I asked him to. I would recommend them any time for moving.

While some people may hesitate to use a freight trailer for their personal possessions, this option worked very well for us on a limited budget for a long distance move (Oregon to Wisconsin). From making our reservation to delivery of the trailer at our home to the transport and arrival at our new home, we appreciated the professional and helpful customer service representatives and drivers. The trailer was in very good condition and instructions for using the ramp and bulkhead were very clear. We saved a lot of money by doing our own packing (and I spent several hundred dollars for boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper, tape, blankets, special covers for mattress, TV, art, etc. and packed very carefully) and hiring hourly help with heavy items. It is important to tie down everything carefully so it does not shift in transit and my husband and our moving helpers did a great job with this. The UPack website has lots of helpful information and videos to help with packing and loading. I'm hoping never to move again, but I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is willing to do their own packing and loading but not drive and would rather not pay for an expensive full service moving company. They are very straightforward about what they charge (by volume, not weight) and there were no unpleasant surprises in that regard. Transport took a few days longer than estimated but we were not in a hurry and had our delivery within 2 weeks. Great company and great experience!

UPack is a great way to go if you have the time and energy to pack your own trailer. (I recommend you hire people to load and unload the trailer) A few things go wet in transport, but no damage. I would go the way of ABF UPack again.

Difficult to determine when the truck would actually arrive. Kept us hanging for a few days.

Best price, best service. Could not have been happier with this choice.

Great service on both ends of the move!

The drivers were helpful with getting things loaded best. On time and friendly. The downside was the truck had a leak in one of the corners of the freight, and some of my belongings and boxes got wet.

The drivers at the beginning and end of the process were great. The company made some less desirable decisions regarding getting our trailer across country. It stayed in the same location for over a week.

Delivered on time, plenty of space

The service is awesome. This is my second moving trip with them. I am pleased and would recommend them to family and friends.

Upack equipment was in great shape. Drivers were friendly and professional. On time when I was told they would be there.

UPak was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process - great communication, reasonable cost, did absolutely everything they said they were going to do. I was totally impressed and would recommend them above anyone. We sent one POD down 3 months early and then had a trailer on moving day.

in the second trailer we probably have $2000 worth of damage of goods. My brand new washing machine is ruined as well as our new outdoor table set. many damages to furniture and art .

Review not complete, since has not arrived for unloading, but this was very handy since not able to drive large truck across country. The price was right too. I would use again for a large move.

The trailer was packed well, but lots of our boxes ended up crushing each other and lots of internal stuff that was wrapped really well in bubble wrap was broken/cracked. Definitely would recommend using the ReloCubes instead, if available.

Need to have better maintenance on trailers

Storage pricing was very high this year. Double the price then when I last used them a few years prior.

Awesome company to deal with, very accommodating and professional on scheduling and delivery. We chose ABF U Pack because of cost and recommendation from friend who used their services.

Excellent Service & Communication ~ with the exception of trouble getting it picked up on the final-leg of the move.

There was significant damage to a well packed truck that I packed myself. Rough ride is the only conclusion I can see.

My brand new leather couch and recliner were ruined and my grandmas china and my glass dishes were crushed , the people on the phone for filing a claimed she was very kind. I have never moved long distance before and only kept these items because they were gifts from my dad before her passed my heart is broken. Hoping things will be taken care of.

We are not finished yet with our move but so far trailer was delivered on time and driver was very personable and happy to explain all the tips in moving ramp and bulk heads. The staff at Stockton Ca terminal is very nice to work with. Excellent service so far! Will complete review when move is finished.

The U-Pack move was fast

The trailer was scheduled to arrive between 8 and 12 on a Monday. It arrived at 6 pm so the professional loaders I had hired to arrive at 3 pm were unavailable to assist me and didn't have another opening for several days. As a result I had to load everything myself which took at least twice as long and resulted in what could probably be described as subpar loading due to poor technique. When I finally finished loading the trailer I called ABF to have them pick up the trailer and was told that it would be picked up at 9 am the next day and that I didn't need to be there for the pick up as I needed to be out of town for work. The driver called me the next day around 2 pm asking me how to get to my house to pick up the trailer so it was picked up quite late and dispatch didn't inform the driver where to pick the trailer up from. When I called to discuss the terrible experience with UPack they offered me a $50 dollar discount for the late delivery. When I told them this was hardly enough they offered a $350 discount. I accepted this discount as it seemed quite clear to me that they just didn't care about how terrible my experience had been. Long story short, I should have paid the additional $1500 to do my move with United Van Lines and I would never recommend this company to anyone.

UPack seemed like a good idea at the time -- Until many of our items arrived damaged or destroyed. Everything clearly shifted during the transport. The damage runs from minor to pieces of furniture that were completely destroyed. They state they will deliver in 3-5 days, but it was 8 days before the trailer was finally delivered.

The staff, drivers and dispatchers were exceptionally pleasant, informative and easy to work with. I would have given a 5 star review, except for the fact that we had some water damage to 8 to 10 boxes. I called to report this issue and have been sent a claim form to process for damages. We'll see how this next process goes.

I was told 6-8 days and the trailer showed up on day 8, but could have been here on day 6 if it did not stop in Dallas, Little Rock, Knoxville and Winston-Salem before getting to me.

They suggested 8-10 calendar days. My container was picked up on 9/3 and arrived at the destination on 9/25.

They moved my things from Florida to Washington in a timely fashion. The only problem was the bulkhead bar bent and the unloading crew was told by ABF to break it. This cost me extra for the time spent.

Excellent! Whoever the driver was, did a great job! Nothing broken, nothing shifted. The crew in the Ocala site were beyond accommodating! Very pleased.

I liked the service. All the dispatchers and drivers I spoke with were very kind. I wish I had known more about what the rest of the truck was going to be used for. I just thought it would be used for other moves, but it is also used for delivery of equipment, etc. Not a big deal, but that could certainly delay your things getting to you. I moved across the country. Several of my things were broken in transit. However, I am certain it was due to the moving help I used to load the truck.

They arrived on time and they did a good job. They were recpectful.
