PODS® Reviews
There are two pickups at each location (the move-from location and the move-to location). PODS has met their scheduled time/date for one of the four. The PODS container has been empty and sitting in my driveway for four days now and I just received an email saying that it won't be picked up for another five days. I am not sure if it is coincidental that the first delivery was the only one that was on time, but it sure feels like once they have you locked-in to their business, they no longer care. Also, their customer service is a call center overseas with no ability to transfer to someone who can actually help. That is anything but service.
PODs is an excellent alternative to hiring a moving company to get your personal goods cross country. The PODs personnel online, telephone, and truck delivery drivers were all very friendly, professional, and kept in communication with us the entire journey. If I had one thing that was not perfect would be the billing which got alittle mixed up between the two PODs we ordered. I had to follow-up to insure the that the second POD would be delivered on the date I requested as that information was dropped off the original order. All was immediately corrected and the POD was delivered on time.
Flexible with drop off date and pick up circumstances. Applied discounts when able. Helpful recommending local movers familiar with loading and settling characteristics of the container. Storage cost after the main move (included in quoted total cost below) was excessive and necessitated a subsequent local move into a more affordable ground storage location.
