Had one driver that didn't know how to run the machine, then had one that let me know he was picking up my container at the storage but didn't bother to even knock on the door so I could tell him where to put it and of course the put it in the wrong place. I did have one good driver out of the 5 so far.
PODS service was pricey, my only complaint was that our physical move from location A to B was only 18 miles, but PODS measured from their warehouse facilities. So when our POD was transferred from A to B it totaled more than 50 miles and caused us to be a Long Distance Move, thus additional cost. This was unfair in our opinions. Otherwise PODS personnel was very prompt, courteous and accommodated our changing delivery schedules.
Very tight packaging, made opening door very difficult. One upside down quilted chair had the fabric contacting the floor, which ended up getting wet upon unloading. Some scratches on wood end table. There was no plastic wrapping around anything, but that was possibly my fault, since there was little left of it (I had to purchase enough of it for 5 pods) by this last pod.
While my overall experience was ok, one of the POD return pickups did not occur at the time I was notified of. After an hour had passed, beyond the 3 hour period, I tried to call a representative and got extremely frustrated with the inability to talk to a real person. About 2 hours later I got a call saying the POD would be picked up the next day.
I loved working with PODS and having the convenience of them storing my POD and delivering it for me. The only issue was the inflexibility of having the delivery date moved to an earlier date than originally requested. I had to live in my new place without the bulk of my furniture or household goods.
